The history department were after a fun magazine to hand out to existing students which would have a pull out insert with a different style for prospective students. Working within set branding guidelines of the prestigious university I developed a new identity for the history department. Following the University colours and fonts while introducing new elements, I developed a more youthful and vibrant feel to the seriousness of the existing brand. To further distinguish the insert I chose a different matt paper stock from the gloss of the rest of the magazine. The client was so happy with the finished product they returned to me for the design of following year’s magazine.
